The heaviest I’ve ever been (when having weighed myself) is 107.9 Kilos. Since June, I have moved up a role in my job, meaning I actually have a set schedule of working. My company also has a corporate membership at a gym down the road. So I decided to join, just because. I never was that uncomfortable with my weight, but knew I should get it down (my family tree is rife with diabetes and heart disease). Since then I have lost a mighty 3 and a half stones in 4 months. Mainly due to diet change and running on the treadmill.
My aim is to get to 11 stones by the New Year, then bulk back up to 12. 11 and 12 are the limits for my weight according to my height (apparently, according to the internet). My friend got me into juicing (the fruit/vegetable kind, not the steroid kind) – so I bought myself a Jason Vale book and decided, why not? Whilst at the cinema, I saw a commercial for Stoptober as well as Go Sober for October. I knew I wanted to do a juice diet, so thought, why not do all three in October. So that’s my October Detox.
I don’t drink that often (but when I do I get smashed) so I didn’t think that would be much of a problem. Smoking would be difficult though, because I am a 20 a day smoker (and have been for around 15 years) – but I decided to get one of those vaper e-cigarettes. I had tried the actual e-cigarette but I didn’t like it, the vaper works much better, so whilst not technically quitting smoking – I was gonna use the vaper which is essentially keeping my nicotine craving up (I also had many recommendations on people who had given up using the vaper). Finally, I bought myself the Jason Vale book, and read up about it online. In order to prepare my body for the juicing, I decided to give up meat for three days beforehand. I also decided that I would give up meat for October, and juice as much as I could – but I would start off with the 7 day juice diet, and see how I went.
I decided to on the 29th, it would be two days extra on top of October, but then again, it would start on a Monday which in terms of my mentality would be better as I would start at the beginning of a week. The night before, I made myself a list of what I would be drinking on what days – as well a sheet of paper on each recipe so that when I woke up in the morning I would have everything at an easy to see access.
